Approach to Care
Joshua recognizes that seeking treatment for a mental health concern can be anxiety-provoking. He strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment in order to help patients through these difficult times.
Working within a person-centered model of care, Joshua understands that a person is much more than a diagnosis. Therefore, he believes that treatment involves treating the whole person, not just an illness. In line with this philosophy, Joshua’s professional practice is not only LGBTQ+ inclusive, it is also LGBTQ+ affirming. Joshua believes that change is a dynamic process and requires you to be an active participant in your own treatment.
He utilizes current practice guidelines and evidence-based treatments in his care. Joshua values the importance of individual and group therapy and will work closely with your therapist to coordinate care, or make appropriate therapy referrals as necessary.
Joshua has experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, neurocognitive disorders, and substance use disorders.
Joshua is currently accepting patients ages 18 and over.
